Return Policy
Lost Shipments
All equipment is shipped FOB (Free On Board). For residential deliveries, you must inform us at the time of purchase to upgrade to a “signature required” delivery, which may incur an additional fee. Overland Printing and its carriers are not responsible for lost or stolen packages due to delivery issues.
Damaged Shipments
If merchandise arrives damaged via a commercial carrier (e.g., UPS, FedEx), note the damage on the freight bill and contact Overland Printing immediately. For concealed damage discovered after opening, notify both Overland Printing and the carrier within 10 days of delivery to arrange a carrier inspection. The customer is responsible for coordinating the inspection and making the shipment available. Claims filed after 10 days will not be accepted. If damage is confirmed, Overland Printing may assist with repairs or replacements based on the carrier’s findings and manufacturer policies.
Dead On Arrival (DOA) Products
DOA products, inoperable upon initial installation, may be returned within 10 days of the invoice date, subject to manufacturer restrictions and Overland Printing’s return procedures outlined below.
Warranty Products
Products failing after use fall under the manufacturer’s warranty program. Customers must contact the manufacturer directly to address warranty issues and cover any associated costs.
Special Order Items
Special order items are non-returnable per manufacturer policies.
Clearance or Discontinued Items
Clearance or discontinued items are non-returnable by Overland Printing or the manufacturer.
Manufacturer Promotional Items
For purchases including promotional items (e.g., a scanner with a free software or accessory), all items must be returned to receive a full refund.
Manufacturer Promotional Bundles
Bundled items (e.g., a scanner with software) must be returned together for a refund.
Product Compatibility and Specifications
Product specifications are provided by the manufacturer and may change without notice. Overland Printing strives to maintain accurate specifications but is not liable for compatibility issues, which are subject to the manufacturer’s return policies.
Contex Scanner Policy
Contex scanners and accessories are non-returnable and non-refundable. Contact Contex (1-800-856-0732) for issues. Contex scanners include a manufacturer’s warranty, serviced by third-party providers. Scanners must be registered with Contex upon receipt at the designated location (provided at purchase) for warranty support.
This policy is separate from other shipping and manufacturer return policies.
Image Access (WideTek/Bookeye) Scanner Policy
Image Access scanners and accessories are non-returnable and non-refundable. Contact Image Access (1-224-293-2589) for issues. Scanners include a manufacturer’s warranty, serviced by Image Access. Scanners must be registered upon receipt at the designated location (provided at purchase) for support.
This policy is separate from other shipping and manufacturer return policies.
Hardware Products
Returns are subject to manufacturer terms. Overland Printing cannot authorize returns; customers must contact the manufacturer for technical support and RMA numbers. Hardware (except as noted) may be returned within 30 days of the invoice date with an approved RMA, subject to a restocking fee. Returned products must be in resalable condition, in original packaging with intact UPC codes, and include all original contents (manuals, disks, accessories, etc.). Non-compliant returns will be sent back at the customer’s expense, with potential additional charges for shipping or inspection. Customers refusing return shipments forfeit all claims to the merchandise and refunds.
Hardware Accessories
Accessories, including consumables, are non-returnable and non-refundable.
Software Products
Opened defective software disks may be exchanged for the same title within 30 days of the invoice date. Non-defective software is non-returnable.
Return Procedures
RMAs are issued by the manufacturer; customers must contact the manufacturer for support and approval. Contact Overland Printing for manufacturer support phone numbers, providing customer name, invoice number, serial number, issue details, and manufacturer case number. Returns without a valid RMA will be rejected. Original shipping and delivery charges are non-refundable.
RMAs are valid for 10 days; returns must be received within this period. Late returns may incur a $50 fee, and Overland Printing may refuse and return them at the customer’s expense.
Repacking and Return Shipping
The RMA number must be clearly displayed on the return package. Use a protective outer box to preserve the original packaging—do not apply labels or write on the original manufacturer box. Improper packaging may result in additional fees.
General Terms
Any disputes related to this transaction are governed by Overland Printing’s terms and conditions and manufacturer policies. Overland Printing reserves the right to update policies without notice. Check this page regularly for changes.
